February 3, 2021 – L&S Advisors, Inc. is pleased to announce it has been named as a finalist by Emerging Manager Monthly as Large Cap Manager of the Year for the L&S Equity Growth Strategy.

The Equity Growth Strategy seeks growth through capital appreciation by investing in a portfolio of companies that we expect to grow earnings and revenues at a rate faster than our benchmark.
The Teams primary approach is bottom-up analysis that incorporate quantitative top-down and thematic practices. Once the stock meets general quantitative and qualitative criteria for investment, in-depth analysis is performed. The team consist of Ken Malamed, Portfolio Manager, Bennett Gross CFA, Director of Research, and Matthew Nussbaum CFA, Portfolio Manager & Sr. Research Analyst.
As Lead Portfolio Manager Ken Malamed brings over four decades of investment industry experience to L&S Advisors, where he leverages the time-tested methodologies and strategies which have helped make him successful throughout his career.

Overall, 296 products were considered. Managers were ranked based on the following criterion: excess returns over the benchmark, performance versus peers, product asset growth and product asset percentage growth and information ratio.
The top managers in each category will now be handed over to a committee made up of industry experts in the plain sponsor and consulting communities that will evaluate the merits of each firm based on quantitative and qualitative measures before selecting the winners, who will then be announced in the April issue of Emerging Manager Monthly. The committee will remain anonymous during the selection stage to maintain the integrity of the process.
To be eligible for the awards, managers must have submitted year-end 2020 data to Informa PSN by Jan. 25 have at least $10 million in product assets and have full-year 2020 performance figures as well as 2019 year-end product asset information. Firm-wide assets for non-minority and women-owed firms were capped at $2 billion, while MWBE managers with up to $10 billion were considered.
