Edlyn Ruiz brings nearly a decade of institutional investment experience to L&S Advisors, where she serves as a Senior Portfolio Analyst focused on portfolio construction, security research, and investment strategy development. She works closely with the firm’s Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Managers, applying rigorous macroeconomic and security analysis to support disciplined, risk-aware investment decisions across client portfolios.
In her role, Edlyn conducts in-depth research across global markets and sectors, monitoring economic conditions and market dynamics. She plays an active role in shaping investment strategy and partners with the portfolio management team to translate market insights into actionable portfolio positioning designed to enhance portfolio resilience across varying market environments.
Prior to joining L&S Advisors, Edlyn spent over nine years at J.P. Morgan Asset Management, most recently as a Vice President and Portfolio Manager, where she managed more than $4 billion in institutional separately managed accounts. Her responsibilities included portfolio construction, economic forecasting, and close collaboration with trading, research, and risk teams. This institutional background informs her implementation-focused approach to research, portfolio construction, and risk management.
Edlyn holds dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Marketing from Arizona State University’s W.P. Carey School of Business, completed international business studies in Spain, and earned a Certificate in Financial Accounting from Harvard Business School Online. She passed the CFA Level II exam and is a CFA Level III candidate.

Edlyn enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active through travel, hiking, mat pilates, and strength training. She is an avid reader and values meaningful connection, both personally and professionally. A strong advocate for mentorship, Edlyn enjoys engaging with students and early-career professionals as they develop their skills and confidence.
Edlyn frequently travels to New York and Phoenix, where she is from, to spend time with family and friends. She places a strong emphasis on community building and currently serves on the Board of Directors for ALPFA, dedicating her time to advancing the organization’s mission of empowering and developing leaders of character across every sector of the global economy.
